These custom pendants were designed for a couple, with each piece reflecting something deeply personal to them. One pendant was inspired by Brother Bear, while the other incorporated specific symbolic elements requested by the client.
The black pendant was designed around the Death’s-head Hawk Moth, a striking moth known for the skull-like marking on its thorax and the intricate patterns across its wings. To complement the dark, dramatic aesthetic of the design, I set a black opal into the body of the moth, allowing the stone to become the focal point of the piece while still blending naturally into the form.
This project was incredibly rewarding to work on, and seeing how meaningful the finished pendants were to the couple made the process even more special.
